If the service don't start and you get the folowing message in the Event Viewer.

The IM Logging Service service failed to start due to the following error:

The service did not start due to a logon failure.


Or if you manually try to start the service the a popup message will be shown.

2. From Windows Services


Verify the username and password used for the service. It might be locket, someone changed the password or a type error.

To change the password open service. Right click on the IM Logging Service and click Properties.

3. Services

Click on the tab Log On, enter the credentials, click OK and try to start the service again.
